Property Description
With over 3 acres of Private mature gardens with a view to die for this classic property once home to the Larios Gin family is a dream retreat.
Set amongst stunning scenery in the South of Spain, Huerta Las Terrazas is the perfect relaxing holiday destination. Bordering the national park of Los Alcornocales, the traditionally furnished house offers unparalleled views over the Straits of Gibraltar and Morocco. Within easy reach are the unspoilt beaches of Zahara, ancient Roman ruins in Bolonia and cosmopolitan Tarifa, renowned for wind and kite surfing.
The area is rich in nature, ornithology and the countryside provides a wealth of opportunities to walk, climb, ride and explore its vantage points.
The main house offers three ensuite double bedrooms
The upstairs rooms look out to open skies and the continent of Africa. Rooms have been furnished in a simple and comfortable manner, calm colours, soft fabrics and traditional furniture. All of the water supplied to our rooms is freshly drawn from our own spring.

How to reach the property
By Road
The house is situated off the N340 and is only 20 minutes from Gibraltar and 1.5 hrs from Malaga. From Malaga take the N340 to Algeciras/Cadiz (it is quicker to take the E15 toll road for part of the journey to Sotogrande, than the coast road).
From Algeciras continue on the main N340 to Cadiz. Pelayo is the first signposted village after Algeciras KM96. As you enter Pelayo the two lane uphill traffic reduces to one lane. Pass restaurant Los Alcornocales (on right), pass restaurant El Corbietzo (on right KM97). Just after this restaurant you will pass under a footbridge, then Bar Las Piedras (on right) and then restaurant El Bosque (on left). Just before the right hand turning you need to take, the uphill traffic lane returns to two lanes. Take the right hand turning opposite El Bosque into the road with the sign Calle Sierra de Lucena. We are at the top of this road (do not take any turnings right or left). After 100 metres of tarmac road you will see an iron bench on right, continue a further 50 metres taking the left-hand fork which curves around to the right and Huerta Las Terrazas is at the end of this track.
From Cadiz
Take signs for Tarifa/ Algeciras. Pelayo is at KM98
It is not possible to turn into Calle Sierra Lucena from this direction. Drive through the village and there is a turning point at the restaurant Los Alcornocales and then follow directions above.

BOOKING
Booking requires a 50% payment of the total price. This payment is taken via a paypal system which allows you to pay with most types of bank and credit card. The remaining 50% is payable on arrival at key handover. Once the first securing payment is made you will be emailed an invoice and information sheet .
CLEANING
Some properties have a cleaning fee which is payable on arrival, this will be noted in your invoice.
ON REQUEST:
When a property is listed on request, it means you can make the booking but you will have to wait a short time to get a definatel answer on it's availabilty. You will normally get a confirmation within 15 minutes allowing you to complete payment.
